Hello.
Glamorous. Beautiful. Expensive. Exclusive. All words that the beauty industry like to string together. The more you spend on ‘beauty’, the richer their shareholders are.
Sometimes I’ve spent a lot of money on beauty products. And sometimes I haven’t. Spending more money didn’t mean I had better skin, nails or hair. I just spent more money. Mostly advice about beauty focuses on products not techniques. Why? Because selling products makes people money. But it seems to me that what you do with what you have, is at least as important as the products. And I find there are great products that cost pennies or nothing. This is what I’d like to share. Glamour. Beauty. Affordable. For all of us.
A word about how this blog is funded. It isn’t. To state the obvious glossy magazines and many websites rely on selling advertising space. Look at most magazines and you will find adverts for products and feature about those same product – or at least a mention of it – in the articles you probably paid to read. Is that good honest advice?
This blog is based on my personal experience and a lot of reading of beauty advice. If I ever change that, I will be the first person to tell you. And tell me your tips and experiences. I’ll be flattered if you do. We can be beautiful and glamorous without spending the earth.
